Carey Compassion Dance Company

We have some fabulous exciting new opportunities in 2025! We will be holding two different productions for dancers at different stages of their performing career.

In 2022 we raised over $20,000 and over $16,000 in 2023 for the Carey Right Track Foundation and Helping Orphans Meet Expenses (H.O.M.E). 100% of money taken from classes goes towards our production program and money raised through the productions goes to our two charities. Our program is currently run by volunteers only.

Children are asked to wear suitable dance wear to classes. Leotards with tights, a classical skirt or bike shorts are fabulous. Hair preferably in a bun but just off the face is also fine. Ballet shoes are important and they can be purchased at any dance store. Young children might be able to get theirs from somewhere like kmart. Drink bottles with water only please, must be brought to every class. This is very important as I don’t usually permit children to exit the room to use the drink fountains on campus.Parents of children under 5 are encouraged to stay during class, however from grade 1 onwards I strongly recommend parents drop the children off and come back for the last 10min. This is to ensure minimal disruption to classes. Parents are required to collect children 17 years and under from the dance room. Please note that we have a no food policy in the classroom. If you are staying to watch a class, I ask that noise is kept to a minimum, especially with siblings.

Message from Miss Kate

My dream as a dance teacher and director is to instil a passion of dance, provide opportunities to grow confidence, to kindle and nurture the idea of compassion to others, treating everyone with kindness. My mission is to use dance to engage all age groups. I hope to inspire young dancers and empower them to make an awesome difference in this world whilst achieving their dreams.
