Bring A Little Joy Campaign
During November, Carey Church partners with fantastic organisations that are dedicated to supporting those in need within our community. This year, we are thrilled to collaborate with these wonderful groups to help spread a little extra joy and love this Christmas season.
How to Get Involved:
- Explore the organisations listed below and choose how you’d like to contribute.
- Bring your donation to the Carey Centre Foyer [map] and place it under the tree. If you are purchasing a Better World Gift, you can collect your item from the Carey Church Offices upstairs (Harrisdale Campus, between 9am-3pm; Mon-Thurs). Alternatively you can purchase your gifts on Sunday mornings following the 9:30am service at Harrisdale campus.
If you are attending the Forrestdale campus, you can bring your filled Christmas Essential Bag to the HUB during Sunday’s morning service. - Spread the word! Tell your friends, share on social media, and help others join in to Bring A Little Joy!
Christmas Essentials Bags
This Christmas, you can help spread joy to families in our local community! We’re partnering with local grocery stores to fill shopping bags with essential Christmas items for families in our community.
How it works:
- Collect a bag – Pick up a shopping bag from Carey Church Christmas Tree in the Carey Centre Foyer (Harrisdale Campus)*
- Shop – Fill the bag with Christmas essentials (non-perishable food, festive treats, and items to bring joy this Christmas – the list is attached to the bag and also found here).
- Return your filled bag – Bring your filled bag back to the Carey Church Christmas Tree by 30 November.*
NOMINATE A FAMILY
You can also nominate a family who would benefit from one of these bags. If you know a family in need, please get their permission to share their details and complete the nomination form. This will ensure that the family is aware and happy to receive this support. Christmas bags will be ready for collection from Wednesday 4 December until Thursday 19 December. Any bags not gifted to nominated families will be donated to the Armadale PlayPlace for distribution to their families needing support.
CAN’T SHOP?
If purchasing food items is not your thing, you are invited to purchase a gift card of your chosen amount that a family can use to do their own shopping. These can be placed in the letter box near the Christmas Tree.
